The motion of a simple pendulum and the acceleration due to local gravity are connected, and we can express its period π in terms of its length β and gravity π through a simple formula. This also means that if we can determine π and β, we can then calculate a value for π. In this paper, we will show how to calculate an experimental value of π for Earthβs gravity using a simple pendulum.
